We also repurpose rice bags and upcycle fabrics for the inner and inter linings of our accessories, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste. We take inspiration from the natural world and infuse it into our designs, creating pieces that are not only stylish but also evoke a sense of connection to the earth. Our commitment to fair labor practices and transparency in our production process ensures that every Himalayan Trooper product is made with love and care for the environment. Join us in the journey of creating a sustainable future, one accessory at a time.

100% Natural Dyes
The dyes used to color our hemp are 100% natural , made from plants and natural mordants. Opting for vegetable dyes was obvious in order to reduce our environmental impact but also to respect the health of the artisans and yours.
An ecological process
Natural dyeing is an ecological process with considerable benefits for people and the planet. The colors are obtained through the extraction of plants. We use pomegranate, turmeric, marigold, onion skins and pomegranate peels for our collection.
The primary concern at Himalayan Trooper was to use pure and renewable resources that the Earth can provide us.
An alternative to chemical dyes
Nowadays, companies favor chemical dyes , 10 to 100 times more profitable, these are harmful both for the environment and for us! Have you heard of azos, heavy metals and other substances present in current chemical dyes? They are the cause of many diseases such as cancer, eczema, asthma… & are found in our clothes & on our skin every day.
Stages of Dyeing
- The fabric is first soaked in boiling water before coloring, in order to remove any possible impurities (dust for example).
- The dyes are then boiled three to four times to extract the color.
- They are filtered before mixing them with the hemp fabric (cut of approximately 2.5 meters per tank).
- Different minerals are added to obtain and fix the desired color.
- The fabric is put in a special machine for semi-drying, then dried flat in the open air.
- Finally, a quality check is carried out before sending it to Local Artisans.
